To be responsible for the Set Up and effective operation of the process machinery in order to achieve production targets and quality standards. To adhere strictly to Hygiene, Health & Safety requirements and maintain safe working practices.
Shift pattern: Twilight Shift. Hours of work: 18:00-02:00.

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To set up the machinery ready for production; make a thorough check of all process machinery, ensure all guards are in place and functioning correctly.
2. To ensure that Hygiene and Health and Safety procedures are followed at all times.
3. To ensure the correct product and equipment is available prior to start up so that the line is ready to commence production at the appointed time.
4. To continuously monitor machinery to ensure it is running correctly and safely during production and to identify and report any mechanical faults or problems immediately to the Department Manager.
5. To continuously monitor the quality of the product and to liaise with QA when appropriate.
6. To calculate throughputs and ensure correct throughput is obtained for the product being run.
7. To ensure wastage of product or materials is kept to a minimum by making sure machinery is set up properly and baskets/dolavs are positioned appropriately along the line.
8. To undertake cleaning duties of machinery on a daily basis.
9. At shift changeover, ensure all relevant information and documentation concerning the line is passed on to the incoming shift.
10. At the end of production, to remove any cutting blades and make the machine safe.
11. At the end of production, to ensure all machinery is empty of product and remove this to designated storage areas.
12. To maintain all paperwork and ensure all relevant information/documentation concerning the machinery is passed to the oncoming shift.
13. In the event of a fire alarm, to shut down all designated process machinery before leaving the building.
14. To perform any other duty required in other areas as directed by your Department Manager.
