We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Service Engineer to join this fantastic company. You'll provide high-level service support, including analysing, servicing, maintaining equipment, and some installation work. Extensive travel within the UK and abroad is required, with 90% UK travel and some international trips to destinations like the Caribbean and New Zealand. You will also visit regular clients monthly.
Responsibilities:
1. Complete service work ensuring customer and company satisfaction.
2. Assemble, test, and repair machinery.
3. Identify sales opportunities for spare parts at customer sites.
4. Conduct weekly van checks and uphold HSE standards.
5. Report H&S issues and inspect safety equipment.
6. Inspect equipment before use for safety, including lifting equipment, electrical items, COSHH, and fire safety.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience in a similar role, preferably with background in grinding, welding, and mechanical techniques.
* Hands-on experience with hand tools.
* Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
* Attention to detail, excellent engineering skills, and composure under pressure.
* Flexibility, computer literacy, and ability to meet deadlines handling multiple tasks.
* Full, clean UK driving licence.
* Relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship preferred.
* Professional, enthusiastic attitude with a passion for quality and continuous improvement.
