Job responsibilities Key Responsibilities The post-holder will undertake other phlebotomy registered practitioner to effect timely investigations and treatments for adult patients. The post holder will work regularly without direct supervision, but with guidance from the phlebotomy supervisor and manager where required. Main duties and Responsibilities To perform Phlebotomy on patients in the inpatient, outpatient, antenatal and external sites as required Provides and receives sensitive information from patients and their representatives where a high degree of people skills is necessary. This may include dealing with distressed or aggressive patients. To correctly identify patients and to label blood samples taken from them safely and accurately. The postholder will exercise autonomy within professional boundaries and will be required to verify and validate specimen collection from phlebotomy ward collection sheets.
