Supply Chain Operations Manager - Inventory Specialist - Imports - Stock Analysis - Customer Service - Medical Devices - up to £55 plus Car allowance
Yolk Recruitment are working with a leading manufacturer in the Medical sector to find a Supply Chain and Operations Manager to join a growing Medical Device business and help meet growth trajectory. This is an exciting journey and the chance to play a pivotal role in their growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. End-to-End Supply Chain Management: Oversee all aspects of the UK supply chain, ensuring seamless integration of inventory management, procurement, logistics, warehousing, and distribution functions.
2. Inventory Management: Lead the optimization of inventory levels and stock control systems, ensuring accurate demand forecasting and effective inventory turnover to meet production and customer requirements.
3. Import/Export Management: Manage the import and export of goods, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, customs documentation, and timely delivery of materials.
4. Warehousing Operations: Direct warehousing functions to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient storage, handling, and distribution of medical devices in line with industry regulations and company standards.
5. Collaboration with Global Supply Chain Teams: Work closely with global supply chain teams to ensure alignment with corporate strategy, supporting growth plans, and implementing best practices across regions.
6. Cross-functional Collaboration: Liaise with global commercial, manufacturing, and regulatory teams to ensure that supply chain operations support the broader organizational goals, product launches, and operational demands.
7. Performance Monitoring: Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for all aspects of supply chain operations, including inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and service levels.
8. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
9. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements (such as ISO, FDA), and health and safety guidelines in all supply chain operations.
10. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the UK supply chain team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture, and ensuring the team is trained in best practices and operational standards.
11. Customer Service Management: Oversee the UK-based customer service team to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, particularly in relation to order fulfilment, product inquiries, and after-sales support.
Who You Are:
We believe you're the right fit if you have:
1. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
2. Proven experience (5+ years) in supply chain and operations management within the medical device or regulated manufacturing sector.
3. Strong expertise in inventory management, import/export logistics, warehousing, and distribution.
4. Experience working with global supply chain teams and understanding of global sourcing, distribution, and regulatory requirements.
5. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop teams, build relationships, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
7. In-depth knowledge of ERP systems and supply chain management software (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
8. Ability to manage complex, multi-faceted supply chain operations with a focus on achieving business goals.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and geographies.
10. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to medical devices (e.g., ISO, FDA, CE marking) and their impact on supply chain operations.
