We are partnering with School, an inclusive and forward-thinking educational institution, to strengthen its HR team with an experienced HR Officer. You’ll be key to supporting the smooth operation of the school’s HR functions and ensuring a positive working environment for all staff. That’s where you come in ?? As an HR Officer, you will: Manage the recruitment process for new staff, including advertising vacancies, shortlisting candidates, conducting interviews, and managing inductions. Oversee the administration of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment law and school policies. Handle case management, including disciplinary, grievance, and absence management, ensuring adherence to school policy and legal requirements. Provide guidance and support to staff on HR-related matters, including employee rights, wellbeing, and performance management. Maintain accurate records of staff, including personal details, sickness, absence, and leave. Administer the payroll system, ensuring accuracy and timely processing. Support the senior leadership team with employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance procedures. Assist in the development and implementation of staff development initiatives, including training and CPD opportunities. Ensure that all HR processes are compliant with safeguarding requirements, maintaining confidentiality at all times. ?? What we’re looking for: Proven experience in case management and HR functions, ideally within an educational setting. Strong understanding of employment law, HR best practices, and case management procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and professionalism. Experience with HR management systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. A proactive and solution-focused approach, with a commitment to supporting staff wellbeing and engagement.
