Pension fund with over £30 billion in assets to invest requires a Fund accountant - 9 months FTC
Your new company
One of the UK's largest pension funds with over £30 billion of assets to invest in and manage for its members, prides itself on using its expertise and experience to safeguard and grow their assets across multiple classes. They also administer other pension funds too.
Your new role
As part of a fund accounting team, the fund accountant will be involved in delivering accurate fund accounting in relation to pension investment entities. Daily NAV review for several pooled investment vehicles, production of management accounts for a number of SPV's, supporting production of financial statements and oversight of their third-party administrators, dealing with queries from auditors, some transactional work, exposure to stakeholders within the investment teams, problem-solving and some analytical work.
What you'll need to succeed
Qualified accountant or QBE, exposure to investment and fund accounting across either private equity or real estate asset classes, although other classes will be considered with experience gained within a third-party administrator or indeed the client side. Problem-solving skills are essential to succeed in this role, as is the desire to do a variety of tasks.
What you'll get in return
Flexible working is encouraged by my clients with the option of working from home 3 days a week, subject to your personal situation. A 9-month fixed-term contract on offer paid through company payroll where you get benefits and a completion bonus. It is unlikely the role will become permanent, but it may be extended.
