Job Description:
* Monitor progress against targets, providing regular reports to the Production Unit Manager along with clear recommendations for improvement.
* Recommend strategies for running production work cells to maximize productivity while developing contingency plans for any unplanned downtime.
* Analyze shift data, identifying trends and patterns related to output to inform decision-making.
* Take a proactive approach to preparing for priority orders and implement a clear process for expediting urgent requests.
* Support quality audits by ensuring processes and standards are consistently met.
* Foster open communication and engagement to address and mitigate shift-related issues.
* Encourage continuous professional development by empowering team members to grow and progress in their roles.
* Apply effective people management techniques, building a culture of trust, confidence, and accountability.
* Assist in the implementation of new processes and equipment by effectively communicating with and engaging team members.
* Facilitate regular communication with team members and take appropriate action based on their feedback.
* Monitor stock levels — both current and required — making necessary adjustments to maintain smooth operations.
* Actively support planned scrap reduction initiatives, tracking progress against set targets.
* Conduct regular one-to-one meetings with direct reports to provide guidance, feedback, and support.
Skills & Experience:
* Experience within Shift Supervisor positions within Manufacturing
* Strong knowledge and experience of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies
* Proactive problem solver
* Confident in decision-making and use of Microsoft Office.
