We are currently seeking a skilled Air Traffic Engineer to join our team at the UKs leading test and evaluation centre for unmanned aerial systems (UAS), serving both civilian and military sectors. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of essential communication and surveillance systems that support the delivery of Air Traffic Services. You will play a vital role in ensuring the operational efficiency of these systems. What youll be doing: Conducting daily inspections to verify that all systems are in serviceable condition Reporting any unserviceable equipment to the Air Traffic Services (ATS) team Performing fault rectification as required Carrying out scheduled servicing to ensure optimal system performance Participating in project work as needed Completing all relevant documentation accurately and promptly Maintaining up-to-date competency and skill levels Your skills and experience: Engineering qualification to HNC level (or equivalent) in electronics CAA ATSEP Surveillance and Communications certification (preferred but not essential) Experience in fault investigation and rectification, with familiarity in using telecommunications test equipment Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and data communications (beneficial) Previous training and experience in a CAA SARG-approved maintenance organisation is required Experience with the following equipment is highly desirable: Primary Surveillance Radar (PSR) and Secondary Surveillance Radar (SSR) (e.g., S511) Radio Transmitters and Receivers ADZN1_UKTJ
