Our client is looking to appoint a Purchasing Assistant to join their busy Purchasing Team. This is a newly created position to support the busy procurement and stores teams.
This is a great opportunity for a Purchasing Assistant, Assistant Buyer, Expeditor to join an established team and develop their skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities of the role:
Place and track purchase orders ensuring timely delivery to meet manufacturing schedules
Build relationships with suppliers to deliver savings and OTD
Review Open Order Books
Liaise with suppliers to pro-actively progress open orders
Updating and maintaining the ERP systems
Monitoring inventory levels and highlight material shortages
Support the Purchasing Team with Ad Hoc requirements Experience and knowledge of the role:
Experience working in a purchasing or supply chain role within a manufacturing environment
Experience using ERP/MRP system
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Strong understanding of MS Office
Self-motivated with a can-do positive attitude. Team Player
Supply Chain Degree or equivalent is desirable but not essentialOur client offers support with training and CIP's and benefits include:
