Person requires a good mechanical engineering background, proficient in brazing and soldering, and bench fitting.
Leadership qualities required for the role.
Role:
1. Assisting sales team with accurate quoting, site visits as required, and technical support.
2. Identifying material requirements.
3. Identifying machining and fabricating requirements - non-standard items that are subcontracted.
4. Identifying tooling requirements.
5. Ordering non-standard parts and materials.
6. Liaising with suppliers.
7. Liaising with customers.
8. Prioritising work and delegating duties.
9. Progress chasing.
10. Budget control during the progress of all jobs.
11. Preparing WIPs for invoicing (i.e., labour, materials, etc.).
12. Ensuring quality standards.
13. Ensuring safe working practices.
14. Training personnel.
15. Visiting customers for sales, relationship building, continuous improvement, and new products.
16. Manufacture/repair of all types of inductors, furnaces, quenches, power delivery items, etc. (Usually around 50% of time).
17. Booking in jobs and setting sales orders.
18. Signing off time cards and logging onto accounts system.
19. Supports disciplinary/grievance situations.
20. Reports to/updates management and team.
21. General administrative duties.
Salary: £42,000 (overtime available - up to £20k additional).
Hours of work: 40 hours per week - Day shift and early finish on a Friday afternoon.
