Here at Electricity Asset Services (EAS), we are currently looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join our family run business. This role will be based at our head office in Lochgelly or Larbert working 40 hours per week.

EAS specialise in procurement, design, management and execution of all works associated with High and Low voltage underground electricity networks on behalf of major framework contractors and Distribution Network Operators (DNO’s).
We have over 40 years combined experience specific to our services offered such as HV/LV Cable Jointing and Terminating, Electrical Engineering, Inspections, Mechanical Engineering, New Connections, Cable Fault Finding, Electrical Design, Cable Laying, Civil Engineering, Primary/ Secondary Asset Replacement, Project Management, and Civil Engineering. Our purpose is to positively contribute to the electrical industry- providing value to our clients, customers, and our people.
Purpose
As Financial Controller, reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for the accounting operations of the business to ensure all accounting records are appropriately kept and that every reported result complies with accounting standards and legislation.
Overview of main duties and responsibilities
1. Manage all accounting operations
2. Budgeting & Forecasting
3. Financial Reporting
4. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
5. Month End and Year End Close
6. Payroll Management
7. Support the Leadership team with financial strategy and decision making to ensure the financial health and operational success of the business
What you’ll bring
To be successful as our Financial Controller, you will bring experience in a similar financial role, a strong understanding of financial management and accounting principles. You will need to demonstrate that you have the ability to manage complex business issues and be confident working under pressure and to tight deadlines. You will have excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with all colleagues across the business. You will be detail-oriented and be able to work independently to achieve our strategic goals and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and be experienced in using the latest ERP/Business systems e.g. Dynamics 365.
