We are searching for a small team of Support Assistants, based in the Swansea area, to work within an amazing project that provides safe, secure accommodation for young people.
What's does it look like?
* Full time 38.5 hours per week
* Fixed Term contract - 3 months initially - With strong possibility of turning in to a permanent position
* A mixture of days and waking nights
* Rotating shift pattern on a 16 week rolling rota
* Salary of 24,090

What's the job?
* Supporting young people between 16 and 25
* Working with individuals who have experienced homelessness
* Understanding trauma and integrating trauma informed practice into your work
* Providing reliable advice and guidance
* Following the safeguarding and health & safety policies
* Working with other services (multi-agency working)
* Covering a mixed rota of days and waking nights
What do we need?
* Someone with a real passion for helping others
* A solid understanding of the causes of youth homelessness
* Compassion, understanding and resilience
* Driver with a vehicle would be highly desirable
* A DBS on the update service - Or willing to carry out a new DBS
* Someone who is willing and able to work days and nights
* Flexibility around shifts and assisting when needed
These roles are project-based (in one location) in the Swansea area. Support Workers and Support Assistants from other sectors are welcome to apply.
