The starting salary for this role is £35,730 per annum, working 36 hours per week.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract/secondment opportunity.
We are excited to be hiring a new Senior Business Support Advisor to join our Business Support Function, which is part of the IT & Digital Service. This role is mainly offered as a remote opportunity with occasional travel to Woodhatch. Your working pattern will be 09:00-17:00 each weekday to cover core business hours.

About the Role
This customer service focused role coordinates and leads a business support service within the IT & Digital Service, supporting senior staff with both the administrative and IT aspects of business administration.
On a day-to-day basis, your responsibilities will include ensuring that all purchase orders are raised and invoiced promptly within Unit 4 (My Surrey). You will handle all user queries related to Unit 4 when orders are being raised, providing consistent and excellent customer service throughout these tasks.
You will have an indirect budget responsibility of up to £10M, offering pivotal advisory services to project managers, the contracts team, and finance. Additionally, you will oversee the daily activities of the Business Support Officer, ensuring their orders are raised and managed promptly.
You will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of the financial year-end process with central finance, including order and invoice matching. Managing all Freedom of Information (FOI) requests will also be part of your role, working with service colleagues and the central FOI officer to ensure timely responses and execution.
Furthermore, you will be tasked with creating, maintaining, and distributing organizational charts, collaborating not only with Surrey teams but also with teams across Brighton and East Sussex. Lastly, you will continuously look for ways to improve these processes.
