Join us as a Documentation Specialist Adviser You’ll be responsible for the creation, negotiation, and amendment of master agreements for the Treasury Markets business, dealing with a selection of institutional counterparties, including funds and investment managers We’ll look to you to ensure that agreements adhere to internal policies and that key stakeholder requirements are met You’ll enjoy considerable variety and stakeholder interaction, contributing to ad hoc projects and working closely with legal colleagues in a small and supportive team as well as with stakeholders across Treasury Markets front office What you'll do Acting as the gatekeeper and drafter in relation to master agreement negotiations, you’ll collect inputs and approvals from a range of business areas on various negotiated points. You’ll maintain template master agreements, playbooks, and procedure documents in partnership with Legal colleagues and other stakeholders. You’ll also perform legal on-boarding checks for new counterparties, including netting eligibility, capacity, and authority. In addition to this you’ll: Manage the execution process for internal signatories as well as the completion process for master agreement documentation Ensure signed agreements and documents are complete and shared with the relevant team for upload to the document management system and assist with any queries and improvements to process Undertake exception identification, tracking, and reporting as required, including the tracking of active fund negotiations Act as a key contact for master agreement queries from teams outside Treasury Legal Manage internal and external relationships with a view to optimising the output and resolution of any queries, taking ownership of any issues related to master agreement terms Organise and take ownership of calls with investment managers when necessary The skills you'll need We’re looking for someone with in-depth knowledge of the Global Master Repurchase Agreement (GMRA) and International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) master agreements, including Variation Margin and Initial Margin documentation. You’ll also demonstrate: Thorough knowledge and experience of negotiating and maintaining umbrella and agency agreements including fund additions with investment managers Experience carrying out associated counterparty due diligence checks for capacity, authority and netting, and negotiating fund and jurisdiction specific terms The ability to communicate with a broad range of internal stakeholders and to manage relationships with external investment managers in collaboration with front office colleagues An understanding of the impact of European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) on trading arrangements The ability to work proactively within a small team, with a learn on the job mindset Hours 35 Job Posting Closing Date: Job Posting Closing Date is not yet published.
