Work Experience Advisor and Assessor – Early Years
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Work Experience (WEX) Advisor and Assessor to join our team on a full-time, temporary basis at Bromley Campus. This role focuses on sourcing high-quality work placements and supporting Early Years Study Programme students to achieve their career aspirations and course requirements.
Key Details:
Location: Bromley
Hours: 37 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP
Contract End Date: 31/03/2025
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with curriculum teams to meet work placement requirements and develop further opportunities.
2. Identify and secure work placements, leveraging employer relationships to maximize opportunities.
3. Generate employer leads through telesales, networking events, social media, and advertising campaigns.
4. Support T Level students in sourcing placements and conducting required observations.
5. Conduct assessments in line with qualification standards.
6. Assist in establishing sector-specific employer advisory boards to guide employability outcomes.
7. Complete required Health and Safety checks with employers, adhering to College policies.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications:
1. Level 3 or above in the childcare sector (essential).
2. Assessor award (desirable).
3. Level 2 English and Maths (essential).
Knowledge and Experience:
1. Understanding of work placements (essential).
2. Knowledge of government-funded training and T Levels in the FE sector (desirable).
Skills and Competencies:
1. Ability to plan and manage workloads, achieve targets, and evaluate outcomes.
2. Strong communication skills with clients (existing, lapsed, and new).
3. Proven ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
4. Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Excel for data reporting.
5. Skills in generating sales appointments and offering information, advice, and guidance (IAG) to students.
