About the role
We are seeking a Materials Planner to join our dynamic team on a fixed-term contract. The Materials Planner will be responsible for planning and ordering from a short-term perspective (+6 weeks). Support Buying on procurement requirements, forward planning, and developing relationships with Suppliers to manage call-offs and deliver a reduction in working capital. Managing the delivery of new materials aligned to the NPD plan, ensuring launch requirements are met and waste risks are managed accordingly.
Key responsibilities:
* Work with short-term materials planner to ensure stock holding aligned to budget requirements.
* Work collaboratively across the Supply Chain function, wider teams within IGC, and a range of suppliers.
* Collaborate with Purchasing on challenging MOQ’s/Lead times/Prices and update the system.
* Ensure delivery of NPD lines – all materials are set up, requirements known, and orders placed.
* Ensure alignment of NPD meetings and plan integration.
* Process purchase orders (PO’s) relating to long-term raw materials including handling quantity invoice queries and receipting PO’s.
* Manage delisted products including stock exposure and finished goods requirements using the delist form.
Qualifications and Experience:
Required – Proven experience of materials management and working within a Supply Chain role.
Required - Experience of using multiple systems such as Microsoft Navision, Microsoft Excel, and various other Supply Chain-based systems.
Desirable – Food manufacturing experience.
Desirable - Commercial awareness gained from previous role(s).
