Senior Registered Manager

* Salary: £65,000 - £73,000

In the role of Senior Registered Manager, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional care and shaping an organizational culture that reflects the core values and vision of this unique service.
We specialise in providing residential step-down services and tailored educational programs for children and young people with complex needs, learning disabilities, and autism. We also offer specialised placements for children who have experienced trauma or face attachment-based challenges. Our approach is both creative and nurturing, focusing on the unique needs of each individual and delivering a customized support program specifically designed to cater to their specific requirements.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
* Manage a Residential Home in compliance with legislation, policies, and the Statement of Purpose.
* Develop and implement high-quality service plans, coordinating and monitoring casework and administrative functions.
* Assess the needs of children and young people, preparing development plans accordingly.
* Recruit, vet, interview, and induct new staff, contributing to their training and development.
* Conduct investigatory hearings and disciplinary processes, and develop professional relationships with staff, young people, and stakeholders.
* Chair meetings, reviews, and discussions, and participate in corporate and management activities.
* Ensure professional ethics and behaviour among staff, manage and support residential staff, and organize duty rotas.
* Safeguard and promote individual rights and quality care, promoting therapeutic relationships.
* Maintain the physical state of the building, addressing repair/maintenance issues promptly, and ensure safe working practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Education: DipSW, CQSW, NVQ 5 in Working with Young People/Management or willingness to work towards it. Registered Managers’ Award or relevant degree is desirable.
* Experience: Significant senior-level experience in a Children’s Home is essential. Experience in social care/health and knowledge of manpower planning and budgetary management is desirable.
* Skills: Proficiency in the Children’s Act, Child Protection Issues, Children’s Homes procedures, and National Care Standards. Ability to develop professional growth in others and give presentations is desirable.
* Personal Attributes: Professional attitude and appearance, strong organizational and leadership skills, ability to motivate others, positive attitude, attention to detail, and capacity for independent travel.
