The Role & Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our Venues Team as Food and Beverage team Assistants. This is a casual role to support the growing events and catering offer with no fixed hours which can be flexible around study, another role or home life. The Maison Dieu (Dover’s Town Hall) is currently undergoing a £10.5 million restoration and renovation. Opening in Spring 2025 this venue will be open for public, private, ticketed and community events all year round.
Food and Beverage Assistants will deliver an exceptional customer experience at the Maison Dieu and other Dover District Council sites as required. Help drive the sales of the venue while being an ambassador for the venues. This role includes food and beverage service including bar work.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who will make the customers feel welcome. You should be comfortable with cash handling due to the till work. The role includes assisting with the setup, service, breakdown and clean down of events. To personally provide a very high standard of customer service and to maintain a charismatic, presentable and calm attitude at all times
We ask the person be flexible as working hours vary from 7am to 2am and will be on a rota basis as the operating needs require.
GCSE's in Maths and English at grade C or 4 above is essential.
Due to licensing laws, we require applicants to be 18 years old or over.
Food and Beverage Assistants work a variety of shifts including days, evenings weekdays, weekends, Bank Holidays.
