Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a fantastic business in the Sheffield area as they look to recruit a Bookkeeper into their team on a part-time, permanent basis.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
* Handle day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
* Monitor cash flow, track expenses, and reconcile bank statements.
* Prepare VAT returns.
* Proactively chase outstanding arrears and payments.
* Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
* Collaborate with management to create and manage budgets.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
* Manage tax filings and liaise with external auditors.
The ideal candidate will:
* Have previous experience in a similar role.
* Have proof of completed training as an accountant.
* Have a good understanding of accounting principles.
* Possess good IT and finance system skills, as well as strong MS Excel skills.
* Exhibit excellent communication and attention to detail skills.
