Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to join the Honiton Adult Core Community Mental Health Team. We are a dynamic team with multi-disciplined staff working collaboratively in developing a rounded experience of treatment within our service. As part of the team you would be supported in developing and delivering core psychological interventions as part of the treatment pathway. You would be supported in career development opportunities to help the team be proactive in its approach to mental health care in the community. This Senior Mental Health Practitioner role will also be available as a development opportunity in a Band 5 position for qualified nurses. Suitable candidates can progress by completing a specific set of competencies, as outlined in the attached document. This pathway allows professionals to enhance their skills and expertise, working towards the requirements of the Senior Mental Health Practitioner role. By demonstrating competence across the outlined areas, individuals can develop the necessary experience to transition to a band 6 position, supporting both career growth & the delivery of high-quality care. Main duties of the job The role would be delivery of 1-1 working with a mixed complex caseload. Working through formulations and care planning using the new personalised care plan approach and assessment tools. You would also be encouraged to complete assessments at first point of contact with the service as part of your development within the team. You can be supported in learning to deliver group interventions and the development of new ideas. We promote the use of staff key skills such as nursing, OTs and social care as a way to think of new ideas and service development and improvements. Support the development of care plans and assist in the delivery of therapeutic interventions. Take a proactive role in the development and delivery of training for junior staff and students.
