MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To invigilate examinations in accordance with Examination Body requirements.
The post holder will have specific responsibility to:
• Work with the Examinations Officer/Data Manager to co-ordinate examinations in accordance with Examination Body requirements.
• Support the Examinations Officer/Data Manager with the preparation of examinations.
• Collect examination papers, stationery and other supporting documentation for the exam from the Examinations Officer/Data Manager.
• Register students on seating plans for each examination invigilating.
• Seat candidates in the examination room in accordance with examination boards, length of exam and the seating plan.
• Ensure that correct examination papers, supporting documentation and stationery are issued to candidates
• Seek help/advice from the Examinations Officer/Data Manager if unsure or unable to resolve problems or issues.
• Read instructions to candidates prior to the examination, in line with the examination body requirements.
• Monitor examinations to ensure that examination body requirements are adhered to.
• On completion of the examination collect all papers and material from the candidates and file in order of candidates and return to the Examinations Officer/Data Manager
• Within the context of individual responsibility, use own initiative to solve related problems.
• Notify the examination Officer immediately of absentees so that follow-up action can be taken.
• Support the implementation of the school’s Safeguarding and Inclusion policies.
• Maintain an orderly atmosphere prior to and during examinations in accordance with Examination Body requirements.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
• Other duties as agreed with the Line Manager, as may be reasonably required, commensurate with the character of the post and level of responsibility.

• Ability to implement complex procedures and adhere to rules and regulations
