Waste Disposal Site Attendant - PKC
£22, - £23, (34 Hours per week)
Crieff Depot
In this role you will educate members of the public to promote user awareness, provide guidance on how best to deliver standardised site specific recycling information, and oversee site operations. Therefore knowledge of Waste Recycling is essential.
You will be based at Auchterarder Recycling Centre and in addition, duties may also involve providing cover at other civic amenity sites and for street sweeping and refuse collection loading as requested by supervisory staff.
The Environment Service operates new ways of working which is a variable shift system involving weekend working. The overall aim of the exercise is to secure a modern system that will comply with all Road Transport Regulations and provide continuous seven days a week working
The contracted shift pattern is 34 hours per week:
• Tuesdays & Thursdays 08:45hrs – 19:15hrs
• Saturdays & Sundays 09:45hrs – 17:15hrs

Skills & Experience Required
The successful applicant must have a proven record in dealing with the public and be able to effectively communicate verbally face to face with members of the public.
The job will require the successful candidate to work outside in all weathers.
You must be able to carry out the physical demands of the post and be able to communicate effectively with team members and the public.
You must be a team player who understands the importance of good morale and proactively pursues good professional relationships with colleagues.
A full category B driving licence is essential (manual transmission) and a C1 and/or C1+E driving licence and full CPC is desirable for this post.
Knowledge of Waste Recycling is essential.
