Automation Engineer (Azure DevOps) Newcastle to £130k
Do you have expertise with DevOps and Automation?
You could be progressing your career in an impactful role at a start-up Investment Management firm that have secure backing and an established Hedge Fund client as a partner.
As an Automation Engineer you will provide subject matter expertise on DevOps, establishing the function, putting systems, processes and policies in place. Initially you'll be working within a Microsoft technology stack, although tech stacks will vary depending on the client, so you'll need to be tech agnostic and happy to pick new things up as and when.
Location / WFH:
You'll join colleagues in Central Newcastle offices on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday).
About you:
1. You have an academic record of achievement, minimum 2.1 at BSc from a top tier university, Computer Science or similar technical / scientific discipline, backed by A A B grades at A-level
2. You have expertise with DevOps within an Azure environment
3. You have a software engineering background (any programming language, C# or Python preferred) and strong scripting skills (PowerShell preferred)
4. You have experience with Docker Orchestration via Kubernetes
5. You have experience with public cloud technologies; Azure, AWS, GCP
6. You have a strong knowledge of modern software engineering best practices
