Position Details:
- Location: King's Lynn, Norfolk
- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
- Hours: 08:00-16:00 Monday - Friday (Term-Time Only)
- Salary: £13-£15/Hour Inclusive of 12.07% Holiday Pay
- Contract: Temp to Perm
Key Responsibilities as a SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Support students with emotional and behavioural difficulties, ensuring they remain engaged in learning.
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons, implementing lesson plans, and adapting resources to meet individual needs.
- Deliver SEN interventions and work with students in small groups or one-to-one settings.
- Provide feedback to students and assist with assessments.
- Work closely with parents, teachers, and external agencies to support student development.
- Help manage behaviour effectively using positive strategies.
- Take responsibility for specific areas, such as speech therapy or behaviour management.
- Supervise students during breaks, educational visits, and extracurricular activities.
SEN Teaching Assistant Skills & Requirements:
Essential:
- NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent.
- Level 2 English and Maths.
- Experience working with students with SEN, EAL, or speech and language difficulties.
- Experience working in an SEMH School or supporting individuals with SEMH/ Complex Needs.
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to work with challenging students.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Must be able to commute to King's Lynn, Norfolk
