VitalSource is hiring an Account Executive to contribute to our International Sales team located in Milton-Keynes, United Kingdom. This is a hybrid role with a combination of both in-office and work from home days.
As an Account Executive, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving our growth by building meaningful relationships and connecting with clients who align with VitalSource’s vision. You’ll have the exciting opportunity to uncover new business opportunities, engage prospects with confidence, and negotiate deals that deliver real value. Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and secure new customers through virtual prospecting, including cold-calling, video conferencing, digital networking, and targeted email outreach.
* Qualify prospects in line with our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) to maintain a high-caliber sales pipeline remotely.
* Independently strategize and manage all business activities within your assigned market/territory through remote interactions.
* Foster and maintain strong relationships with current accounts, identifying opportunities for upselling and ensuring ongoing satisfaction through regular virtual check-ins and needs assessments.
* Meet and exceed sales and financial targets on a consistent basis, leveraging virtual sales techniques.
* Consult with prospects and clients about their business challenges and needs during virtual meetings, advocating for VitalSource as their preferred solution.
* Conduct remote sales presentations that clearly communicate the strengths of VitalSource and effectively demonstrate our product offerings.
* Accurately forecast and close sales to achieve sales goals, utilizing virtual communication for negotiations and deal signings.
* Adhere to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) relating to remote activities, ensuring Salesforce (SFDC) is consistently updated with contact interactions, pipeline data, and sales progression.
* Act as the voice of the customer by channeling feedback to our product development team, facilitating the creation of timely solutions to boost business opportunities.
* Serve as the main point of contact for customer accounts, overseeing customer needs and ensuring responsive communication across internal teams, including customer success, inventory, finance, and integrations.
* Manage a remote engagement calendar, maximizing each virtual meeting's potential to drive sales and reinforce client relationships.
* Maintain comprehensive records of virtual sales activities, account management actions, and pipeline information within SFDC.
* Engage with new and existing customers virtually to share our current product suite and vision, crafting tailored communication to meet diverse client needs.
* Follow established remote contract processes and customer onboarding systems, ensuring a standardized and professional virtual sales operation.
* Efficiently manage lead workflows and oversee the development of opportunities from the virtual sales environment into enduring account relationships.
Required Qualifications:
* Eight years of sales experience
* Knowledge of SaaS, learning and training technology, integrated solutions
* Demonstrated skills in consultative selling approach
* Knowledge of essential business technologies, including, but not limited to: standard office software and SalesForce or comparable CRM
* Ability to achieve financial targets and meet benchmarked deadlines
* Knowledge of current business climate, current market trends, and technologies
* Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services, including marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
* Ability to develop and implement strategic goals and objectives
* Personal computing skills to include standard PC packages (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
* Past experience in Publishing Industry preferred (not required)
