Main purpose ofjob:
We are seeking a detailorientedand analytical PMO Planning and Resourcing Analyst to join ourdynamic Project Management Office. The ideal candidate will supportthe PMO in planning tracking and analysing the performance ofvarious projects and programs within the organisation.Including producing and managing highlevel portfolio and resource plans on a 3 6 9 and 12 months.This role requires strong analytical skills attentionto detail and the ability to work collaboratively withcrossfunctional teams to ensure effective project planning andexecution.
Responsible to:Portfolio DeliveryManager
Budgetaryresponsibilities: No direct department budget responsibilities.Will be responsible for the providing up to date portfolio planningand resourcingforecasts.
Responsiblefor (staff/jobs): No direct reports but will have responsibilityfor managing resources levels across IT specific project activitiesand tasks.
Key JobResponsibilities:
Project Planning&Coordination:
Assist in thedevelopment and maintenance of project plans schedules andresourcing.
Coordinate withproject managers and team members to gather necessary projectdata.
Supportresource allocation and capacity planningefforts.
Conduct reviewsof portfolio plans at 3 6 9 and 12month intervals to ensurealignment with delivery goals andtimelines.
Maintain a12month portfolio plan consolidating inputs from in flight projectsthe backlog and newdemand
Overlay the 6and12month plan with milestones and deadlines for in flightprojects and newdemand.
Overlay the 6and 12month plan with resource profiles and engage with functionalmanagement to support capability building (and reduction) tosupport theplan
Overlay the 6and 12month plan with a consolidated budget view &projection engaging with cost centre owners to predict and smoothout expenditure plans to ensure optimal resource utilisation andproject efficiency.
Data Analysis&Reporting:
Collect analyseand report on project performance metrics including estimationcosts timeline andquality.
Develop andmaintain dashboards and reports to provide insights into projectstatus againstplans
Identify trendsrisks and opportunities from project data to supportdecisionmaking.
Conduct keydate reviews to monitor critical project milestones anddeliverables.
Organise andlead slippage meetings to address project delays and developcorrective action plans.
ProcessImprovement:
Evaluatecurrent project management processes and identify areas forimprovement.
Assist in thedevelopment and implementation of new processes and best practicesto enhance projectdelivery.
Conducttraining and support sessions for project management tools andmethodologies.
RiskManagement:
Assist inidentifying assessing and monitoring project risks andissues.
Support thedevelopment and implementation of risk mitigationstrategies.
StakeholderCommunication:
Prepare anddeliver presentations and reports to stakeholders including seniormanagement.
Facilitateeffective communication and collaboration among project teams andstakeholders.
