Software Simulation Engineer
Location: Filton, Bristol (Full-time, on-site working)
We are seeking a Software Simulation Engineer to join our dynamic team working on the development and integration of advanced simulation software for military aviation.
This role involves contributing to the design, development, and testing of software that supports cutting-edge cockpit and avionics technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and integrate software for an advanced cockpit simulator.
Take ownership of the full development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to testing and implementation.
Work with technical stakeholders to ensure the integration of solutions and provide feedback on progress.
Create and maintain technical documentation for development processes and system designs.
Manage technical tasks and support the identification of new development opportunities.
Collaborate with customers to resolve issues and optimize delivered systems.
Support the development of system architectures to align with emerging IT and security requirements.
What We're Looking For:
Essential Qualifications:
A degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Maths, or Physics.
Strong programming skills in C/C++.
Familiarity with configuration control tools and IDEs like Microsoft Visual Studio.
Desirable Qualifications:
Knowledge of avionics or mission systems.
Experience with Linux.
Previous experience in task leading and quality management documentation.
Familiarity with Jira or similar software for managing development tasks.
Experience with cockpit or UX design.
