The Opportunity
The Global Dr Sturm brand team are seeking to appoint a seasoned expert Global Head of Communications with a proven track record of driving global brand teams, to work directly with the brand's founder, Dr. Barbara Sturm and the growing Global Marketing team at the Puig Head Office in London.
This is a temporary fixed-term contract for 12 months from January 2025.
What you'll get to do
As Global Head of Communications, you will be responsible for devising and executing the Global Communications Strategy for both the Corporate Brand, Dr. Barbara Sturm personally, the molecular cosmetics product portfolio and Dr. Barbara Sturm Spa's globally - as well as leading on global campaign delivery. You will be responsible for creating and delivering significant global growth in rankings across Earned Media, working closely with Global Paid and Owned Brand Channel Leads to support the overall brand and business objectives.
Overseeing the Global Communications department (headcount n= 2 x at head office) and all global agencies and VIP consultants worldwide, you will report into the Global Marketing Director.
Key Responsibilities:
* Building on the brand's incredible global trajectory, and recent acquisition by Puig- you will be responsible for further driving brand and DBS authority, expertise, science credentials, and overall brand awareness, further positioning DB and DB Skincare as the market leader in anti-inflammatory prestige skincare.
* You will be responsible for ensuring consistent brand advocacy is generated throughout the world through key opinion leaders and tastemakers across beauty lifestyle and fashion.
* You will deliver global brand equity campaigns, as well as 360 product campaigns, working to continually recruit new customers to the brand whilst also driving increased AOV and replen.
* You will use your exemplary knowledge, contacts and experience and combine it with a data and consumer insights analysis lens to create cut-through fresh thinking and activations that lead to dominant coverage and ultimately sales, both for DBS's key regional doors and .com.
We'd love to meet you if you have:
* Extensive experience in premium skincare, and at least 15 years experience in Communications.
* Significant experience in leading teams across the world, creating and deploying strategy and toolkit documents and ensuring consistent approach, tone of voice and alignment in localised executions.
* Exceptional understanding of influencer marketing, A-Lister seeding, ambassador profiling, and working closely with Marketing teams to create 360 experiential activations to drive the overall business P&L.
* Act as a 24/7 brand guardian ensuring all third-party agencies and suppliers are delivering against the brand's overall global brand values and pillars, creating strategically aligned content and earned media.
* You will be a natural born leader and motivator, who enjoys aligning multiple stakeholders in one key vision for the brand.
* You will ideally have corporate brand experience and be confident in trade and consumer press management for both b2b and brand equity press feature placement and management.
* Global Brand Comms Strategy - Conceptualisation, Cadence and Execution at a global and regional level.
* Robust Measurement and Analytical Reporting Structure.
* VIP A-List Talent/ Founder Management.
* Multiple Local Market Management.
* Creating and Cascading Global Tool Kits.
* Global Ambassador Profiling and Contracting.
* Global Scale Event Production and Execution - managing multiple agencies.
* Issue and Crisis Comms Management.
* Trade press- e.g. corporate comms/ earnings releases etc.
