About The Role:
Calling all Senior Carers, Care Team Leaders and Nurses Assistants. Are you an experienced Senior Care Assistant seeking a warm and welcoming care home environment? Are you a Care Assistant with an NVQ in Health and Social care, seeking career growth? Here at Porthaven Care Homes, we have the perfect role for you.
About You:
* You will be passionate about care and making a positive difference to the lives of vulnerable adults.
* You will be willing to work towards or have completed your NVQ level 3 Diploma in Health and Social care.
* You will have previous experience of working in a Care Home environment, perhaps in a Senior Carer role. This is desirable but not essential, it all depends on your skills.
* You will be experienced or happy to train in medication administration.
* You'll have fantastic written and verbal communication skills.
* You will have effective leadership skills to get the best out of those around you.
Most of all, you will have a natural desire for helping others and will thrive from working in a team of Carers to provide the best possible care for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading and inspiring a team of Carers in the day to day running of the home.
* Communicating regularly with our residents' families and Health care professionals to write and adapt care plans.
* Administering medication and completing risk assessments.
* Ensuring the needs of the residents are always met.
* Ensuring residents daily records are up to date and accurately reflect the care provided.
The successful candidate will be subject to the provision of satisfactory references and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and they must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
