Role Responsibilities
• Conduct audits and spot-checks to maintain service quality. Using our AI integrated auditing system
• Develop and manage staff rotas. Using Bright HR.
• Ensure compliance through training, supervision, and appraisals.
• The creation of support plans and risk assessments. Using Log My Care.
• Participate in planning and transitioning new individuals into the service.
• Handle on-call duties as required.
• Provide direct support to individuals during shifts.
• Review accidents and incidents to improve safety protocols.
• Cover shifts during staff sickness or absence.
• Offer ad-hoc support to the team as needed.
• Lead and mentor senior support workers, deputy team leaders, and team leaders.
• Uphold and promote the values of Believe Care and Support in all aspects of the role.
About The Role
Working Hours
The role requires flexibility to meet service needs, including a minimum of one shift per month directly supporting complex individuals and availability to work weekends. 37.5 hours week. Able to work from home on agreed days where this meets service needs. Flexible hours available.
Primary Services
• Ingol, Preston: Supporting a gentleman with bipolar disorder and challenging behaviours. Staffing includes 2:1 support during the day and 1:1 with sleep-in nights.
• St Annes: Assisting a woman with Prader-Willi syndrome. Support involves 1:1 assistance (with some 2:1 hours for activities) and sleep-in at night.
• Blackpool: Supporting a gentleman with a learning disability and OCD. Provides 1:1 support for five hours daily.
These services are supported by approximately 15 staff members.
There is an expectation that the role will expand alongside the company i.e. when we begin to support new individuals within Lancashire and Blackpool.
Other Services
• Lancaster: Assisting a woman with autism and bipolar disorder. Staffing includes 2:1 support during the day and 1:1 with sleep-in nights. Has a long term Team Leader in post.
• Morecambe: Supporting a gentleman with autism and fragile epilepsy, currently residing with parents. Provides 2:1 support Monday to Friday.
