Field Service Engineer – Halifax – £DOE Are you a Field Service Engineer who is looking for a varied and rewarding role, supporting customer sites in installing, servicing and repairing specialist machinery? Working with an industry leading precision measuring equipment business this role offers a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your career. This field-based position involves regular travel across the North of England, interacting directly with a diverse customer base to offer technical support across a range of metrology equipment. Field Service Engineer’s Key Responsibilities: Visiting customer sites to professionally install precision measuring instruments and systems Conducting routine service, preventative maintenance, and precise calibration to ensure optimum equipment performance and customer satisfaction Performing comprehensive troubleshooting, accurately diagnosing faults, and efficiently rectifying mechanical, electrical, or software issues Documenting service activities and maintaining accurate service records for all customer interactions and technical interventions Skills & Experience Required as a Field Service Engineer: Proven experience in fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs of mechanical and/or electrical systems HNC/BTEC qualification or equivalent in an Engineering discipline, or relevant practical experience within a technical service environment Knowledge of measuring equipment such as Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) – highly desirable Exceptional organizational abilities, meticulous accuracy, and strong attention to detail Must hold of a full, valid UK driving license Benefits Package: Competitive starting salary to be discussed upon application Company car 31 Days Holiday increasing each year to a maximum of 36 Days annually Company Pension Scheme Long Service benefits to include: Private Medical Healthcare & Death in Service) This is a full time permanent position working Mon – Fri, 8.30am – 5pm.
