Alpine F1 Team have a new opportunity as a Cell Lead to join our Production team in the Composites department.
Alpine F1 Team is looking for a dedicated Cell Lead to oversee the production of high-quality composite components. This role is crucial in ensuring production targets are met, quality standards are upheld, and the team operates efficiently and safely.
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
1. Overseeing the production of high-quality composite components.
2. Ensuring that production targets are achieved, quality standards are upheld, and the team operates efficiently and safely.
3. Leading, supervising, and mentoring a team of composite technicians.
4. Direct communication between Deputy Cell Lead and Shift Lead, setting targets and reporting progress.
5. Working with management and customers to provide crucial input on design for manufacturing.
6. Working as part of a team with a common goal.
7. Meeting deadlines set by event calendars and department requirements using company systems, including “Work To Lists” and D365.
8. Processing workload and releasing to the next operation as soon as possible.
9. Solving scheduling and quality problems, setting daily targets, and reporting progress daily.
10. Managing workload and team attendance (processing leave requests).
11. Ensuring parts are produced to specification and in accordance with department standards.
12. Maintaining accurate production records and component traceability.
13. Ensuring workshops and equipment are serviced and/or repaired with appropriate housekeeping regimes, while maintaining compliance with H&S policies.
14. Participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
15. Creating training material that supports team development and competency.
16. Acting as an understudy to the Shift Lead as required.
17. Managing team performance including performance reviews.
The Person
1. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
2. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
3. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Excellent engineering background with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, models, and manufacture parts in accordance with equipment available, GD&T, and technical specifications.
5. Proficient use of current department technology.
6. PC literate with good working knowledge of MS Office products, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365 and company systems.
7. Flexible approach to working to achieve targets within a fast-paced environment.
8. High performer with the ability to remain focused and objective under pressure, working to strict deadlines with minimum supervision.
9. Clear and effective oral and written communicator.
10. Well-organised with attention to detail.
