Clinical Psychologist General Paediatrics - B8B 0.7wte (26 hours/week)
Due to local investment we have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Psychologist to develop and lead the general paediatric psychology service in NUH. As a branch of the wider Paediatric Psychology service, general paediatric psychology aims to improve the psychological wellbeing of children and families living with a medical condition under the care of general paediatrics within Nottingham Children’s Hospital.
The post holder will be joining a welcoming and compassionate team of experienced and established Clinical Psychologists at a time of investment into new specialist areas of paediatric psychology. The Paediatric Psychology service supports children and families across specialist medical teams within Nottingham Children’s Hospital. The role of Principal Clinical Psychologist in general paediatrics will work with the Paediatric Psychology Lead to develop and deliver the service to children and families under the care of general paediatrics in NUH. The post holder will develop the service to cover the varying needs of children and families through a stepped-care approach. In addition to leading the development of the service into general paediatrics the post holder will provide supervision to Specialist Clinical Psychologists within Paediatric Psychology specialist where no Principal or Consultant Psychologists are in post.
