The Departments of Computer Science and Mathematics are looking to recruit two Student Services Administrators to support a strong Professional Support administration team working across two departments. The role is busy and varied, involving daily contact with academic staff, students and colleagues from across professional support services. Role-holders will have the ability to produce high quality work under pressure with attention to detail at all times. Communication and interpersonal skills are vital and role-holders will have the ability to be flexible, multitask and prioritise. You will gain a good working knowledge of the departments and University information systems and student-related policies and procedures and use this knowledge to provide effective and efficient administrative support. The focus of the role at the moment will be supporting the Department of Mathematics or Department of Computer Science to support the examinations and assessment cycle for both undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes. Please note: We are currently undergoing a university-wide transformation of our professional services structure and this has brought the Student Services teams of Computer Science together with Mathematics under a single portfolio. We will also be co-located over the Summer in the Ian Wand Building (Campus East). More information on these changes is given within: Update on Student Services Team - Departments of Computer Science & Maths. There are two fixed term posts available, both to start as soon as possible. One post has an end date of 6th August 2025 and the other 30th September 2025. Interview date: To be confirmed For informal enquiries: Please contact Kate Taylor ( kate.tayloryork.ac.uk ). The University strives to be diverse and inclusive – a place where we can ALL be ourselves. We particularly encourage applications from people who identify as Black, Asian or from a Minority Ethnic background, who are underrepresented at the University. We offer family friendly, flexible working arrangements, with forums and inclusive facilities to support our staff. EqualityatYork
