Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a R&D Engineer located in United Kingdom, Castle Mills.
Reporting to the R&D Manager, the R&D Engineer role involves maintaining quality engineering programs, standards, and improvements within the organization.
What a typical day looks like:
1. Holding up the pre-development according to technology and product roadmap.
2. In charge of the regular project planning and coordination across RD centers and factories.
3. Conducting market research and evaluating similar products and their functions.
4. Contributing with colleagues from the engineering department on product feasibility.
5. Redesigning existing products to enhance functionality or reduce costs.
6. Managing customer reports as well as always having an eye for the status and providing internal status updates.
7. Watching the project status and if required adjusting and planning different project activities.
8. In charge of maintaining transparency between the involved parties on all aspects of the project.
9. Business research, development, testing and deployment efficiently and effectively.
10. Monitor progress of the teams, whilst always keeping track of the budget.
11. Tracks issues and risks and in case of problems, escalates in a timely and clear manner.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
12. At least 3 years of working experience is required in Design engineering field specifically in switch-gear and busway and experience working with standards
13. Demonstrated knowledge on CAD software and Autodesk Inventor / Revit / Vault knowledge.
14. General Microsoft Office usage
15. Demonstrates advanced experience and skills associated with performing assigned functions.
16. Demonstrates advanced /thorough knowledge of the function and Flex business.
17. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, associates, vendors.
18. Must be able to communicate to all levels of the organization from production associates through executives.
