Job Title: Radar Safety Lead

Salary: £54,793 - £60,326 depending on experience
What you'll be doing:
1. Working closely with the Radar Technical Authority and stakeholders to deliver the safety requirements of the Typhoon Radar.
2. Manage and discharge the Safety and Complex Electronic Hardware workload, including line management responsibility of 4 professionals.
3. Supporting the resolution of Safety related issues.
4. Reviewing Safety assessments and evidence in flight clearance documentation.
5. Assessing supplier deviations related to safety.
6. Generating Safety arguments to maintain the safety of the aircraft as well as generating in-service risk assessments and in-service instructions.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
1. A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent relevant experience.
2. Safety engineering experience (HAZOP, Fault Tree Analysis, safety cases).
3. Chartered Engineer (or working towards).
4. The ability to form and lead cross-functional and cross-organisational teams.
Desirable:
1. Airborne Radar experience.
2. Knowledge of Typhoon platform.
