Your role and responsibilities
As a Local Division Manager, you will lead the Electrification Service unit in the United Kingdom. You will be responsible for P&L results with full accountability of running the day-to-day operation and to overachieve customer expectations through lean, faultless operational execution (Care, Customer, Cost, Cash), in an extended value chain and at the lowest total cost. Business size: turnover of $14m with 35 employees.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid.
This role is contributing to the UK Electrification Service business.
You will be mainly accountable for:
1. Ensure implementation of Service strategy within the Country, in line with global Electrification Service division and EMEA Region initiatives. Report progress on implementation of Group strategy within the Country back to Region.
2. Drive the overall ABB Service in the country and determine Service sales and delivery targets. Take responsibility and accountability for the profit and loss of the local Service organization and be responsible for delivering/exceeding annual service budgets (Safety, Integrity, Orders, Revenues, Profit and Cash).
3. Lead the service growth with responsibility for growth initiatives. Manage business-led collaboration and facilitate cross-segment commercial arrangements associated with bundled service offerings. Identify white spots and define strategies to increase the coverage of the installed base.
4. Promote synergies and develop Service delivery processes to drive efficiency based on Group Service strategy. Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement of the business focusing on customer satisfaction. Promote sharing of experience and leading practices in Service globally and share success stories.
5. Drive Service Safety and enforce a Service safety and integrity culture throughout the Service organization.
6. Ensure that the local Service Division is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guide, motivate and develop direct and indirect subordinates. Improve service availability, provide training, and develop capabilities and competencies.
7. Accountable to build an effective, capable, and high-performing organization.
Qualifications for the role
* A University Degree preferably in Electrical Engineering or Business management.
* Proven track record in P&L and exceptional experience in Service operation management.
* Management experience in sales and/or sales support, with a proven ability to anticipate customer needs and market trends.
* As a leader, you are driven, innovative, persistent, and proactive. You are also a true team player who thrives in a multicultural environment. With your collaborative and communicative skills, you have the ability to inspire your team to great performance.
* You are forward-thinking and focused on results.
* You express yourself well, verbally and in writing, in English.
