PSV Supervisor
Location: Thurrock
Salary: Up to £48,500
Shifts: Monday to Friday 12 pm – 8 pm, 1 in 2 Saturdays
A great opportunity has come up for a PSV Supervisor for a client in the Thurrock area.
PSV Supervisor Duties:
1. Ensure VOR’s are attended and repaired in line with service delivery KPI’s.
2. Complete all repairs in the most efficient and cost-effective manner without compromising quality.
3. Handle customers politely and keep them fully aware of the situation at all times.
4. Adopt safe working practices and complete the required health & safety paperwork for each task.
5. Utilise staff efficiently to optimise available hours and minimise non-productive time.
6. Provide necessary training to staff and maintain a training record and skills matrix.
7. Ensure accuracy of parts stocked in both the depot and the vans.
8. Ensure staff process all paperwork such as job cards, time sheets etc., accurately and timely.
9. Check service centre job cards for accuracy and send for invoicing within 14 days of job completion.
10. Update the company’s job booking system at each stage of the vehicle repair.
11. Ensure technical documentation available to staff is current.
12. Maintain high standards of housekeeping, including premises, people, equipment, and vehicles.
13. Develop a can-do attitude within the organisation, promoting a culture of 'right first time'.
14. Carry out any other duties as deemed appropriate by the company.
15. Escalate any jobs requiring external work through the call centre appropriately.
16. Provide accurate estimates for customers and insurance companies for retail work.
17. Handle customer complaints and escalate to CSM’s when required.
18. Service/inspect demo vehicles between customer trials and keep the sales team updated.
19. Liaise with internal departments on modifications, campaigns, and parts when required.
20. Feedback issues, shortfalls, and trends highlighted by customers on warranty vehicles to the SCM.
Essential Requirements:
1. Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
2. A proven track record of managing/supervising people in a workshop environment.
3. Good written and verbal communication skills.
4. Experience in a customer service environment.
5. Experience of providing quotes and liaising with insurance companies.
6. Evidence of effective organisational skills.
7. Experience of working within the bus industry.
8. Active driving license.
9. PSV License.
