Job Summary
We are recruiting for an Evaluation, Research, and Insight Officer to join our team in Practitioner Performance Advice. You will be working with a range of senior specialists across the Advice service and external stakeholders including health care organisations and national bodies.
The post holder will support a number of work areas, including but not limited to:
1. Evaluation and research
2. Insights publications
3. Supporting the delivery of operational activity reporting
4. The Advice services equality, diversity and inclusion agenda in respect of our service users
5. Policy, guidance and systems
6. Other key innovation and development activities with the Advice service.
Ideally you'll be experienced in delivering high quality analysis and reports that have contributed to improved knowledge and the improvement of services and have worked in a similar role in, for example, the research, health, charity, or public sector.
Main duties of the job
Some of the main duties of this role will include analysing complex information (qualitative and quantitative) and writing reports with clarity and concision, making recommendations based on thorough and robust research of the options available.
A key aspect of the role will be to support the evaluation planning process to develop high quality evaluations that produce actionable learning to ensure continuous development.
Furthermore, the post holder will need to ensure momentum of projects is sustained through continuous engagement and communication, following up tasks and prompt escalation of issues, risks and progress through appropriate channels.

Skills & Abilities Essential
1. Numerically literate and comfortable working with and producing descriptive statistics.
2. Excellent written communication skills, including experience of reviewing complex and sensitive documents (e.g. letters and reports) to a high standard, and presenting information clearly and concisely to a wide range of internal and external groups.
3. Ability to liaise with staff and customers (internal and external) at all levels.
Experience Essential
1. Experience of organising complex project management and programme activities.
2. Experience of developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
3. Experience of coping well when under pressure from competing priorities, unpredictable requests and frequent interruptions.
Qualifications Essential
1. Degree or equivalent relevant experience of working in a similar role.
Desirable
1. Experience of research with clear transferable skills and some experience or awareness of the research environment.
