Job Description Currently we have an excellent permanent job opportunity for a forensic or clinical psychologist with forensics experience to work within a 53 bed hospital in the which services in both a forensic setting (male medium secure & low secure) and acute services (mixed sex). Salary: Up to £55,000 Position: Principal forensic or clinical psychologist Hours: Full Time Setting: Forensic Location: Enfield, London For this role, you will be responsible for: Conduct specialized clinical duties for the assessment and treatment of patients. Delivering Psychological Therapies for individuals with personality disorders, mental disorders, intellectual disabilities, and complex trauma, including developing specialist psychological formulations, assessments, and treatment plans for patients with complex cases, and implementing specialized psychological interventions for individuals and groups. Performing specialist psychological assessments of patients through thorough analysis, interpretation, and integration of complex qualitative and quantitative data. Administering and interpret assessments of cognitive and emotional functioning as needed, assisting the multi-disciplinary team with diagnosis, problem formulation, and treatment plan development. Planning, implementing, and evaluating treatments for individuals and groups, informed by patient formulations based on relevant theoretical and therapeutic models and best practice guidelines. You will have experience of and/or an interest in rehabilitation and the recovery of patients in a forensic setting. Desirable To have clinical supervision training. To have training in two or more distinct psychological therapies. To have skills in individual and group work and in program planning. To have skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment to inform the psychological formulation and intervention. To have well developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, complex, highly technical and/or clinically sensitive information. What can Athona offer you?
