Role Overview
Effective marketing and communications are essential to the OCU strategy. The role of MarComms Business Partner / MarComms Executive provides support to a variety of OCU divisions in the delivery of effective external marketing and internal communications activities.
Organisation and production of regular content is a core element of the role, as is providing support to the Marketing and Communications Director on a wide variety of projects, communicating to internal and external stakeholders.
The role will deliver strong and innovative projects to promote the business brand, services and mission through a variety of channels including web, social media, advertising, email, and other channels.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Producing content, performing research and undertaking interviews to gain valuable insight from our experts and senior people.
* Case study development – through site visits and interviews with key personnel.
* Creation of visually impactful assets including PowerPoint presentations
* Devising and creating ways to build authentic and innovative content.
* Recommend content updates to social media pages to drive an increase in followers and engagement.
* Regular maintenance/updates of all websites.
* Support Marketing & Communications Director in the delivery of content plans (both external and internal) including social media, websites, blogs, newsletters and more.
* Gathering information from a variety of sources to inform content and stories.
* Travelling when required to our various depot/office locations to gain insight from our experts/specialists or to undertake detailed information gathering.
* Measurement of activities and providing recommendations for on-going improvement.
* Monitoring documentation to ensure on brand and in line with messaging and values.
* Support the delivery of impactful campaigns related to recruitment and retention, wellbeing and other HR and people related topics.
* Reviewing, proofing and editing of content from MarComms and other teams.
* Mentorship and support to our Marketing Assistant/Apprentice.
* Support Marketing & Communications Director in the planning and delivery of a variety of projects.
* Other duties and project work as required.
* 5+ years’ experience within a similar position required
* Degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
* Experience in development of Tender bid or Annual Report documentation
* Experience of both External Marketing and Internal Communications
* Ability to create engaging content - both written and visual
* Strong project management experience
* Strong copywriting skills
* Creative Power Point experience
* Experience with Adobe Creative suite advantageous– InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro.
* HTML/CSS and CMS knowledge advantageous
* SEO/PPC experience advantageous
* Experience with video content campaigns advantageous
* Experience of Google Analytics and other digital reporting tools advantageous
* Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms such as Google Analytics, social media, email marketing tools.
* Excellent time management, organisational skills and the capability to produce high-quality work to tight deadlines
* Ability to prioritise workload and manage expectations
* Team mentorship experience advantageous
* Willingness to travel when business needs require
* Full UK drivers licence
