We are seeking a proactive and experienced Financial Accounts Manager to join an NHS finance team on an interim basis. This role is critical to maintaining robust financial reporting, managing the Trust’s capital programme, and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver a high-quality financial accounts service, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting;
Lead the overall management and performance of the Trust’s capital programme, including budget monitoring, forecasting, and reporting;
Ensure timely preparation of the quarterly investment report for internal and external stakeholders;
Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with relevant reporting standards and deadlines;
Ensure full compliance with IFRS, SORPs, and Department of Health & Social Care (DHSC) guidelines;
Support internal and external audit processes and ensure strong financial governance;
Line manage two staff members, providing leadership, development, and performance oversight.
Ideal candidate will have/be:
An experienced and professional qualified accountant with current membership of CIMA or ACCA Professional Accountancy qualification or equivalent (CCAB qualified);
Proven experience in financial accounting within the NHS or wider public sector;
Solid understanding of financial/capital accounting, investment reporting, and NHS finance frameworks;
