Sedgefield Community College, part of Laidlaw Schools Trust, are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Maths from September 2025.
We particularly welcome applications from candidates who are new to the profession.We invest a great deal in our programme for Early Career Teachers and are confident that we are a superb environment for those new to teaching who wish to develop rapidly in the early stages of their career.This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our Maths team that enjoys excellent subject leadership.
Sedgefield Community College is a highly successful 11-16 school located in County Durham.Our students join us from the village of Sedgefield and also many other local towns and villages in the area.We pride ourselves on the way a very comprehensive intake of students comes together as one strong school community.Our vision at Sedgefield is summed up by the phrase ‘Achieve at Sedgefield’ and we work tirelessly to support all students to achieve excellent progress in every sense of the word.Our success in achieving this vision has resulted in the school being extremely popular for a number of years and this is reflected in very high student numbers.
