We value our RGNs highly, so development and training within this role will be offered and prioritised. There is an expectation that hours are worked flexibly over a rota basis which does include nights and weekends. We have full time and part time hours available.
You will require good communication skills, a team work approach and be able provide a high standard of nursing care with the support of your team.

Main duties of the job
To provide and maintain a high standard of evidence based, patient centred care. To demonstrate good interpersonal skills and to develop practical skills required within the speciality, whist reflecting the philosophy of care.
To deliver patient care on a daily basis, using the systems in place in the department for a multi-disciplinary approach to patient-centred care delivery, which builds on the philosophy of greater involvement of patients and their relatives/carers by using the Trusts patient and public involvement strategy.
The post holder will be expected to support their team, department, and organisation to achieve the Trust's Values in their day-to-day work
To devise specialist programmes of care for other professionals to deliver and ensure they are delivered appropriately
To provide specialist advice to others regarding the management and care of patients
To assist in leadership and development of staff in the team and to act as a positive role model for more junior members of staff and students
To deputise for the line manager in their absence
The Band 6 will be able to work effectively as part of a team and will always act within the limits of their competence, knowing who to ask for help and support as required. The Band 6 will operate within agreed ways of working, following the relevant standards, policies and protocols used in their workplace including Professional standards of practice and behaviour

Qualifications
Essential
1. Relevant degree nursing or equivalent qualification
2. Professional knowledge acquired through degree supplemented by diploma level specialist training, experience, short courses
3. Evidence of continuing professional development and to have undertaken post registration training
4. Leadership/management programme or prepared to undertake a course
5. Non- Medical Prescriber or prepared to undertake a course
6. Coaching and/or mentorship training or prepared to undertake a course
7. Appropriately registered with the Professional body as per post requirements

8. Significant experience in the required setting
9. Demonstrate Clinical and Managerial leadership ability
10. Experience of working in multi agency services
11. Ability to undertake the higher level clinical skills required for the specialist area

14. must be a car driver with a valid driving licence or have access to transport with appropriate business insurance to travel thoughout the trust as appropriate for role
