HSBC’s Network Management & Market Intelligence function (N2MI) is responsible for the recommendation to appoint and the subsequent monitoring of the Group’s network of agents used by all group entities or global businesses.
The N2MI team is split between core Agent Network Management, Strategic Initiatives and Market Information and Analysis. As part of N2MI’s responsibilities we monitor and appoint the HSBC Group’s cash and custody network. This Agent Bank network provides our internal clients throughout the HSBC Group with a high quality, cost effective and competitive service.
We are currently seeking a high calibre individual to join the team in the role of Network Management Analyst
The scope of N2MI’s activities is focused on assessing the operational risk, efficiency and appropriateness of the agent.

In this role, you will:
* Support of the Network Managers and Network Management Associates with the management and monitoring of the agent banks undertaking various processes and activities to deliver expected outcomes of agent risk management and business enablement within a controlled timeframe
* Assist with the coordination and performance of initial review of on-going due diligence of agent banks.
* Assist with the coordination and performance of initial review of control assurance
* Support the team with various team initiatives and projects
* As the Network Management team grows, the scope of responsibilities will keep growing to further support the Network Managers & Network Management Associates with their assigned Agent banks monitoring (e.g. documentation record-keeping, stakeholder engagement, team meetings, SLA/Service Level Agreement reviews, market intelligence etc.)
To be successful in this role you should meet the following:
* Proven background in securities services operations, client services, or product, or in risk - audit supporting roles is a paramount
* Some understanding of the securities services industry is highly advantageous
* Strong analytical, control skills, high work standards and attention to detail is critical
* Excellent client-facing and written communication skills with the ability to work towards stringent deadlines
* Flexible attitude with the ability to work alone and unsupervised, but also to be a strong, contributing team player
* Good planning, assimilation and organisational skills an the ability to prioritise conflicting demands and problem solve
The base location for this role is Edinburgh
