Technical Services Manager
£45,163.44
Westhill, Aberdeen
The role will include the day to day running of multi site contract. Managing projects and all compliance across the portfolio, ensuring all statutory and mandatory tasks are undertaken, carrying out site visits, staff training, review and comment on operational issues, amendment and review of the contract asset database and PPM/Lifecycle plan.
Responsibilities include:
* Lead and motivate the engineering team to improve performance on customer service, communication, networking, common engineering standards, quality, safety and environmental issues to ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory / corporate requirements and that documented procedures exist and are understood by all employees.
* Lead the team and contractors to deliver a safe, compliant, cost effective and responsive service.
* Work with the team and contractors to provide efficient and cost-effective management of all Suppliers, including lifts, building management controls, and fire systems.
* Contribute to plans and strategies for the future development of facilities.
* Establish and maintain excellent working relationships based on open and honest communication with suppliers to ensure confidence in our business and to present a credible and professional image.
* Ensure all work is carried out on all sites to an acceptable level and to consistent engineering and H & S standards through regular monitoring of both in-house and contractor performance and competence.
* Develop, manage, and co-ordinate a process to continually review Service Suppliers.
* Provide effective liaison and communication with the client, other ESS Facility Services service teams and senior management for all technical service activities.
* Ensure compliance with all client and company health & safety procedures and standards at all times.
* Report any health & safety hazards, issues, near misses & accidents to your Line Manager at the earliest opportunity.
* Provide the highest level of customer service by learning and demonstrating the ESS Way values and behaviours at all times to colleagues, customers & clients.
* Ensure all equipment provided is used, maintained & stored correctly, and any defects are reported to your Line Manager.
* Take ownership of, and ensure the correct and prompt processing of, outstanding invoices for completed works so they are always paid within 3 months of issue.
* Direct implementation of HSE processes and procedures.
Our Ideal Technical Services Manager will:
* Have a Facilities Management qualification or at least 2 years facilities management experience.
* Possess sound financial knowledge.
* Have good IT skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
* Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience dealing with multi-disciplined staff.
* Hold an IOSH Managing Safely qualification or be willing to achieve this within 6 months of appointment.
* Have knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental issues.
