As team administrator you will undertake a wide range of administrative and secretarial duties including but not limited to; receiving of all correspondence and ensuring action is taken appropriately, processing clinical letters, reports and other correspondence as required by the team, minute taking and covering calls that come into the office. You will be expected to liaise with multi-disciplinary team members and other health professionals, GP’s, Social workers, care coordinator, Service users, and other appropriate agencies. It is essential that applicants are able to work on their own initiative, demonstrate effective organisational skills, have the ability to prioritise their workload and can process enquiries in a confidential and timely manner.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced administrator to provide a comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to the the South Perinatal Team. In addition to administrative experience, the successful applicant must have the ability to communicate in a helpful and empathic manner with women and their families who contact the service.
The perinatal service operates Monday-Friday; 9.00am-5.00pm. The team provides a specialist perinatal mental health service for women living in Birmingham. The team offer support to women experiencing moderate to severe mental illness during the perinatal period (through pregnancy and up to 24 months post natal).
