Job Description
Role Definition:\n\n * The CNC Setter / Operator is responsible for setting and operating CNC mills and lathes to manufacture components as per drawings, ensuring on-time production according to plan.\n\nDay-to-Day Duties:\n\n * Set and operate CNC vertical and horizontal twin pallet mills, turning centres with live tooling, CNC lathes using Fanuc control systems, and 5-axis CNC machining centres with 8-pallet AWC.\n\n * Select appropriate tools and machine settings.\n\n * Operate manual milling, turning, and grinding machines.\n\n * Inspect parts using measuring equipment to ensure conformance to drawings.\n\n * Complete production job documentation accurately.\n\n * Prepare and handle raw materials.\n\n * Perform weekly/monthly fluid checks and machine maintenance.\n\n * Maintain a clean and organized workspace.\n\n * Follow all health and safety guidelines and propose improvements\n\n * Collaborate with team members to optimize processes.\n\n * Perform any other reasonable tasks within the jobholder’s capability\n\nQualifications:\n\n * Minimum of 3 years of experience setting and operating CNC lathes and mills using Fanuc controls.\n\n * Relevant manufacturing engineering qualification.\n\nSkills:\nEssential:\n\n * Ability to set and operate CNC lathes and milling machines, including tooling setup.\n\n * Proficient in reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings.\n\n * Understanding of engineering tolerances.\n\n * Skilled in using micrometres, verniers, and gauges to inspect parts.\n\n * Strong communication skills, problem-solving, and attention to detail.\n\n * Proactive and positive approach.\n\nDesirable:\n\n * Experience with CAD/CAM offline programming, particularly using Fusion 360
