Are you an experienced Project Manager who is interested in automation and managing complex, multi-million pound projects?
As the Project Manager, you will act as the contact between TGWNE, the client, and third parties, and have the direct responsibility, authority, and accountability for ensuring that the work is undertaken in accordance with the client's and TGW’s specification and processes.
You will also provide leadership to the project teams and the business to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed specifications so that TGWNE always meets its customers’ requirements and contractual obligations.
Main Responsibilities
1. Adherence to the project management, reporting, and financial controls processes
2. Managing the commercial and technical risks of the project
3. Ensuring policies for Health, Safety, and Wellbeing are implemented on project sites
4. Managing project resources and costs within agreed budgets and timescales
5. Ensure project completion, acceptance, and handover criteria have been achieved as per TGWs contractual obligations
6. Managing project approvals required from the customer
7. Managing proposed changes to the agreed project scope, timescales, and budgets
8. Generating an integrated project plan and workstream plans
9. Define quality expectations and targets
10. Ensuring that the project implementation objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner in respect of cost and schedule, in accordance with TGW’s project, quality, and safety procedures
11. Identify project risks and determine mitigation actions or contingency plans with timely reporting and management
12. Establishing the project team structure, resources, and roles and responsibilities
13. Provide direction and support to project Core Team
14. Compliance to TGW policies and guidelines with engagement of Business Support Functions including Global Mobility
15. Developing the project meetings schedule and defining lines of communication
About You
Essential
1. Experience of leading and managing projects and project teams
2. History of working on high complexity, high value projects
3. Articulate with good customer-facing skills and the ability to manage projects effectively at all organisational levels
4. Excellent communication and leadership skills
5. English written and spoken at business level
6. Ability to work away from home across Europe and UK; for guidance, up to 50% of working days away from home during a year, with flexibility to be on site full time at peak times in projects
Desirable
1. Formal Project Management qualifications and exposure to Prince 2, PMI, APM, or other formal project management methodologies
2. Degree qualified or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
3. A background in the engineering automation industry
