EC&I Project Manager
Job Role
Manage assigned projects under the guidance and supervision of the department lead, supporting the company’s overall business plans and strategies to ensure customer satisfaction.
Job Duties
* Lead by example and promote positive health and safety behaviors, embedding a strong safety culture through observation, intervention, and safety walks.
* Take full responsibility for all project deliverables, including hardware, financial and commercial outputs, quality documentation, dispute resolution, customer satisfaction, and timely delivery.
* Ensure adequate support for the sales team, ensuring tenders are prepared professionally and on time.
* Assess customer requirements to ensure the company can meet their service/product needs and pricing for tenders.
* Ensure tenders comply with company commercial guidelines and receive the appropriate approvals in line with delegation of authority.
* Hold overall responsibility for project profitability.
* Ensure timely and professional project launches.
* Organize timely client and internal kick-off meetings, ensuring all relevant project handover documentation is completed and distributed.
* Prepare quality documentation and customer quality plans.
* Collaborate with procurement and operations to ensure parts are available as needed to meet project timelines.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key departments to drive Engineering, Procurement, and Production efforts.
* Build and maintain strong customer and supplier relationships to mitigate commercial risks and maximize future business opportunities.
* Attend client site meetings as necessary and maintain proactive communication regarding project status and requirements to meet customer expectations.
* Produce reliable invoicing and gross profit forecasts for assigned projects.
* Manage all aspects of project finances, ensuring timely funds allocation in accordance with invoice and payment forecasts.
* Oversee project-related documentation to ensure timely project closeouts, with support from operations.
* Liaise regularly with operations supervisors to ensure work scopes progress as planned and customers are kept updated.
Candidate Requirements
* HND in engineering or a business discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
* Experience managing complex projects.
* Experience in contract negotiation within a commercial setting.
* Experience managing suppliers and customers.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP or other ERP systems.
Remuneration
The role offers a salary of up to £55K, along with a competitive personal bonus scheme and additional benefits.
